#Viduthalai2 (Tamil): Too preachy yet a must watch. When a story is made in two parts, it is important to evaluate the story as one. This holds good for a Bahubali or Ponniyin Selvan even the latest Pushpa. The reason being the first part is incomplete without the second. This film too starts off from where it left. While we get to see the politics that follows Vijay Sethupathi’s arrest, we are also introduced to what led him to turn into Vaathiyar. We get to see a beautiful romantic episode involving Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier. Post this part, the film becomes too preachy on communism and their importance. There are too many monologue that are extremely relevant yet bores you. The first 20min and the final 20min are very gripping and the ending is apt. The flashback episode involving Ken Karunas if good too. Soori has lesser screenpace this time yet he has come up with a strong performance. Chetan gets a lifetime role and he has don’t that well. Illayaraja’s music is fantastic. The editing seems to be sloppy. The film has a solid finish that justifies the first part and the \preachy nature of second part. However, a crispier film without a documentary feel could have worked better. Rating:3.5/5

வெற்றிமாறன் இயக்கத்தில் வெளிவந்த ‘விடுதலை’ படம் நல்ல வரவேற்புடன் வசூலையும் கொடுத்தது. இதனையடுத்து இப்படம் பார்ட்-2 என உருவாகி இன்று வெளியாகியிருக்கிறது. தற்போது இப்படம் எப்டி? என பார்ப்போம்..

‘விடுதலை’ படத்தின் முதல் பாகம்:

தாழ்த்தப்பட்ட மக்கள் வசிக்கும் மலைப்பகுதியில், சுரங்கம் தோண்டி வளங்களை எடுக்க அரசு முயற்சிக்கிறது. இதற்கு எதிராக பெருமாள் வாத்தியார் (விஜய் சேதுபதி) மக்களை திரட்டி போலீஸ் படையுடன் மோதுகிறார். இதில், இரண்டு தரப்பிலும் உயிர்ப்பலிகள் ஏற்படுகிறது.

இருப்பினும், பல வருடங்களாக இச்சம்பவம் தொடரும் நிலையில், பெருமாள் வாத்தியாரை கைது செய்ய, போலீஸ் தேடுதல் வேட்டையில் இறங்குகிறது. டிஎஸ்பியாக சுனில் (கவுதம் மேனன்) நியமனம் செய்யப்படுகிறார்

இந்நிலையில், போலீஸ் படையில் ஜீப் டிரைவராக இருக்கும் குமரேசன் (சூரி), துப்பு சொல்ல… பெருமாள் பதுங்கியிருக்கும் இடம் கண்டறியப்படுகிறது. பெருமாள் வாத்தியார் போலீஸிடம் பிடிபடுகிறார்’ என்பதோடு முதல் பாகத்தின் கதை முடிவடைகிறது.

விடுதலை’ இரண்டாம் பாகம்:

பெருமாள் வாத்தியார் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு, விசாரணைக்காக கொண்டு செல்லும் காட்டு வழியில் திசை தெரியாமல் சிக்கிக் கொள்ள நேரிடுகிறது. இச்சூழலில், ஜீப் டிரைவர் குமரேசனிடம் பெருமாள் தனது ஃப்ளாஷ்பேக் கதையை சொல்கிறார்.

அதாவது, ‘தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு எதிரான கொடுமை.! பண்ணை ஆட்களின் வன்முறையால் ஏற்பட்ட உயிர் சேதம்.! இதனிடையே, தனக்கு கருத்தொருமித்த பெண்ணுடன் நிகழ்ந்த (மஞ்சுவாரியர்) திருமணம்.!

பிறகு, தீராத கலவரத்தில் தன்னை காப்பாற்றிய ஒரு கம்யூனிஸ்ட் மனிதர் (கிஷோர்) கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட பரிதாபம்.! அதனால், முள்ளை முள்ளால்தான் எடுக்க வேண்டுமென துணிந்து.., வன்முறையாளர்களுக்கு எதிராக வன்முறையை கையில் எடுத்து, அவர்களை பழிக்குப் பழி வாங்கிய நிலை.! என குமரேசனிடம் சொல்லி முடிக்கிறார் பெருமாள் வாத்தியார்.

இதனால் பெருமாள் மீதான போலீசின் பார்வை மாறுகின்றது. இப்போது பெருமாளின் தோழர்களும் அவரை காப்பாற்றும் பொருட்டு வந்து விடுகின்றனர். அப்புறம் என்னென்ன நிகழ்கின்றது என்பதுதான் மீதிக்கதை.

படத்தில், அனைத்து கதாபாத்திரங்களும் அருமையாக வார்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. சமூக அக்கறையோடு புரட்சிகரமான கருத்துகளுடன் எழுச்சிமிகு நேர்த்தியான திரைக்கதையாக அமைக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது. இரண்டாம் பாதியில் தான் சற்று தடுமாறி பயணிக்கிறது. சில காட்சிகளில், டப்பிங் வாய்ஸ் கேரக்டர்களுக்கு ஒட்டவில்லை.

இளையராஜாவின் பின்னணி இசையும் வேல்ராஜின் ஒளிப்பதிவும் கதையோட்டம் சீராக செல்வதற்கு, தாங்கி நிற்கும் தண்டவாளங்கள் எனலாம்.

இப்படம் அடிமைப்பட்ட மக்களின் வாழ்வுக்காக, உயிர் நீத்தவர்களின் உன்னதம் பற்றி உரத்து பேசுகிறது. மேலும், அதிகார வர்க்கத்தை ஆதிக்க சக்திகளை அப்புறப்படுத்த ஆயுதமேந்தவும் வலியுறுத்துகிறது.

இத்தகைய போர்க்குணம் கொண்ட படைப்பின் ஆக்கத்தில்.. குமரேசனுக்கு காதல் வருவதும், பெருமாள் வாத்தியாருக்கு மனமொன்றி திருமணம் நிகழ்வதும் சினிமாத்தனமாக தெரிந்தாலும், எதார்த்தமாக சொல்லப்பட்டிருப்பதை ரசிக்க முடிகிறது.

பொதுவாக.. சினிமா வேறு, நாவல் வேறு. இதில், நாவலை சினிமாவாக எடுப்பது என்பது வேறு.! இவ்வகையில், ‘ஒரு கல் சிற்பம் ஆவது போல’ விடுதலை -2 படக் கதையை திரையில் செதுக்கியிருக்கிறார் வெற்றிமாறன். இன்றைய பாராட்டு, நாளை விருதாக வரலாம்.

மொத்தத்தில், இந்தியாவுக்கு 1947 ஆம் ஆண்டு விடுதலை கிடைத்தது. ஆனால், விடுதலை-2 படத்தை பொறுத்தவரை, ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோருக்கு விடுதலையில்லை என போராடியிருக்கிறது. எனவே, இப்படத்தின் அடுத்தடுத்த பாகங்களும் இயக்குனருக்கு ‘பிளான்’ இருந்தால் தொடர்ந்து எதிர்பார்க்கலாம்; யாவரும் சமூக அக்கறையுடன் வரவேற்போம்.!
